Festival of Tolerance event was held in Chattogram on September 24, 2023 to mark and celebrate the cultural diversity of the country. The event was held under the project titled ` partnership for a more tolerant, inclusive Bangladesh (PTIB) with support of Norwegian Embassy, Bangladesh and United Nations Development Program (UNDP). 

Deputy Minister of Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Naufel commented that the less outside interference, the better for the progress of Bangladesh. He was addressing the audience in the event festival of tolerance in Chattogram.

Earlier, Sonali Dayaratne, DRR, UNDP Bangladesh gave welcome speech in the event. Then, Mr. Numan Ahmed Khan, Executive Director, IED; Md. Abu Sayed, NPD, PTIB Project and Director, Bangladesh Computer Council, ICT Division; Nirupa Dewan, Governing Body Member, Manusher Jonno Foundation-Guest of Honor; Ms. Susan Vize, Officer in Charge, UNESCO-Guest of Honor; Raja Devasish Roy-Guest of Honor; Ranajit Kumar, Executive Director, Bangladesh Computer Council, ICT Division; Espen Rikter-Svendsen, Ambassador, Royal Norwegian Embassy in Dhaka-Guest of Honor; Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Education-Chief Guest and Abul Basher Md. Fakruzzaman, Deputy Commissoner of Chattogram addressed the event. 

Robert Stoelman, Project Manager, PTIB project , UNDP made the concluding remark on this event. The Festival of Tolerance event featured on cultural performance like Sampriti Dance (solidarity), Chakma Ubogiti; Mro Basi; Female Martial Art; Transgender Dance Performance; Art Competition; UTSA-drama; Individual Singer and song presentation by Dripta Dewan; Tisa Dewan; Tonger Gaan, Band and Angra Band- Santali Band Troupe. Apart from this, the event premises was decorated with multi stalls that featured on Artist Tufan’s Photo Exhibition; Puppet Show; Empathy Game; Food Festival; Community Radio Live Telecast Booth (UNESCO); Stall of CHT program for showcasing (UNDP CHT Program), Anondomela- stall of female entrepreneurs and Let’s  read stall.
