Rumor and disinformation are being spread out at social media ahead of national election. As a result, likelihood of fear among the minority has exposed. When the election comes, fear works among them, said the speakers in the online discussion.

Institute for Environment and Development (IED) Mymensingh Center organized the roundtable meeting to sensitize on combating digital disinformation on protecting violence and maintain peace and harmony on October 4, 2023 at Green Point Party and Training Center in Mymensingh. The meeting graced by Raihanul Islam, Additional Police Super, Mymensingh as chief guest. 

S Pramathesh Shil, Journalist and Researcher, read out the concept note styled on disinformation in society and action points of citizen. The online roundtable discussion meeting was held by Institute for Environment and Development (IED) with support of The Asia Foundation. 

With presided over by Nur Nahar Begum, Manager of IED Mymensingh Center, the meeting also addressed by Sheikh Md.
