Transformed life story of Sumi Biswas

Sumi Biswas was strugling  with poverty that made her life mesirable. She was undone to get opportunity for income. She was very helpless and trying to find out opportunities to get work to be employed. She has indomitable eagerness and strong will power to do something. She was suffering in deep depression as there was family insolvency.  

One day she attended in bimonthly meeting with IP community organized by IED adjacent to her village. There she came to know the information that IED provides supports for hands on various skill training. Women are highly encouraged to get the opportunity by making attached with mechanical workshop and gives some lump sum money for lodging and fooding during the training period. As Sumi is an ideal and courageous indegeous woman, IED selected her to join in the 10 month long training course on electrical works at local market in Sherpur. She completed 10 month long course under the supervision of Amit Biswas, workshop owner.

Her skill is so good that her reputation has been spread out in that area and the workshop owner was highly impressed. He has made an arrangement a job for her at his shop with monthly wage Tk. 6000/- (Six thousand). Now she is known as skilled electrician in the market.  At present, she is getting more works on fitting fans and water pumps as her work is better. She has got a scope for earning income. She has made an example that a female could also do mechanical works at the market. Everyone has smiling face as prosperity returns in the family. Sumi hopes that she could show example in the society along with her works. We wish every success in her life.
