Jiten Sardar’s house was in a remote village. He is the member of large poor family of 6 members.  His family members could not find work all year round. Father Montu Sardar and mother Romney Rani decided one day to go to the city.

They moved to their relative’s house in Bara Banagram Sheikhpara Mahalla under Shah-Makhdum Police Station of Rajshahi City Corporation 12 years ago. His relatives gave them the opportunity to build a small temporary house with a tin tent at the corner of his own place. Jiten is the youngest of the brothers. Poverty kept him far away from education. Somehow he studied up to class VIII and eagerly searching opportunity for diversified income. Lastly he got work as sales person in a shop. He was thinking to come out from poverty and better future for survival.

This thought kept revolving in his head all the time. He came to know from Andreas Biswas, Fellow of IED Rajshahi that IED provides skills development training in their neighborhood and applied for training and was selected. He received one year training in auto mobile. At the end of the training, he struggled to build a small Honda repair workshop in the Sheikhpara area next to Bypass Road from Naodapara to Bhadra junction. There he repairs motorcycle and auto charger  from morning till night. His work efficiency and honesty spread quickly. His strong will to stand on his own  feet and overcome poverty and providing support to his family. Now 3 other IP unemployed youths are working in his workshop  as assistants to make them skill in this work. Jiten is now more busy and working relentlessly.

His average monthly income is now 35,000 / – (thirty five thousand) taka. He is very happy with his income. This incredible achievement of Jiten will make other IP unemployed youth encouraged to think and move forward. He became highly confident to do work on automobile repairing.
