As the national election appears nearer, religious and ethnic minorities communities of our country grip with panic, threat, eviction, torture, rape, arson and loots. Now a day’s communal attack on religious minority people is frequent phenomena in our country after independence. This kind of attack and violence against minority groups happen due to absence of rule of law and fail to bring the communal forces under punishment. Now this time Hindu community of Sathia, Pabna experiences another type of nightmare, threat, loot, arson attack and ransack of their valuable and invaluable belongings on November 2, 2013. Before made this barbaric attack, the fundamental groups with assistance of incumbent and opposition political force spread rumors in the market area that one Hindu boy defame holy prophet Hazrat Mohammad, justifying their arson, loot, ransack the Hindu villages, shrine and scared goddess idols. That very day miscreants carried out their day night devastation leaving villages desolated. Finding no other way victims were taken shelter to adjacent neighboring village.

Getting informed this heinous news civil society members team take prompt action for fact finding visit towards Sathia, Pabna during November 7-8, 2013 led by note journalist Abed Khan, eminent personalities, students leaders, social activist and university teachers to unearth the truth behind the attack. Throughout fact finding visit, the team met with victims, local leaders, businessmen, journalist, social activist and seen the devastated shrine, blessed idoles. The visited team collected all kinds of information behind the attack and explored the truth by publishing reports in national daily like Ittefaq. The team latter organized press conference at Dhaka and urged the government to immediate arrest of the criminals, fundamentalist forces, miscreants behind the attack and take affirmative action to keep peace in the affected area and restore confidence among the affected members, families and communities as a whole
