Israt Jahan Panna lives at Abason Muktijoddhya Polli in Mymensingh town. The name of her husband is Jalar Sheikh. She is a mother of 3 sons and 1 daughter. The ages of her 3 sons are 20, 16, 13 respectively and daughter is 7 years old. Her husband is an electrician and bears the family burden with low income. In 2011 she became members of IED organized women group. Later on she was involved with market extension group and there she was trained to prepare body cleaning coir. She makes one coir at the rate of Tk. 3 as wages. After being expart of making coir, she started business by her own initiatives. Then she conducted market survey with assistance of Suborna Das, program officer, Manager and started her coir business with Tk. 400/- as initial capital. Gradually the business has been expanded and now she has employed 5 workers in her small local hand made factory. She dreams that her business will be expanded more and many women will get opportunity to working with her. She always remember the contribution of IED with gratitude. She thinks that she is learning many things with the support of IED. It is the IED which supported to make her business success and be grateful to IED.
